Nikkei 225 Rises 0.24% as Kioxia Plunges 5.07% in Early Trade on July 27

According to Moneydj, Japan's Nikkei 225 index rose 0.24% or 152.86 points to 64,764.01 in early morning trading on July 27, initially gaining over 600 points before semiconductor stocks weighed on momentum. NAND Flash maker Kioxia led declines with a 5.07% plunge, followed by Tokyo Electron falling 0.45%, Advantest dropping 2.33%, and Murata Manufacturing declining 2.47%. Meanwhile, rare earth stocks advanced as Japan's marine research institute (JAMSTEC) confirmed recovery of rare earth mud rich in yttrium and dysprosium from southern Izu Island. Robot makers also rallied, with Yaskawa Electric up 2.66% and Fanuc gaining 1.95%.
