Kash Patel-Linked Based Apparel Goes Dark After Distributing ClickFix Wallet-Draining Malware

According to PCMag and reports on X, the Based Apparel website went dark on Friday after being flagged for distributing "ClickFix" wallet-draining malware targeting macOS users. The malware tricked visitors into copying and pasting terminal commands that stole session tokens, browser data, and crypto wallets. MetaMask flagged the site as "potentially deceptive," warning users of "malicious transactions resulting in stolen assets." PCMag successfully reproduced the attack, though it was unclear whether the apparent compromise caused significant losses. Based Apparel is linked to FBI Director Kash Patel and Andrew Ollis, CEO of the Kash Foundation.
