BlockBeats News, February 2nd, according to Cointelegraph, the latest data shows that the impact of the January winter storm on Bitcoin mining operations is more pronounced. Data indicates that during the storm, the daily average output of listed mining companies dropped significantly.
This storm swept through most of the mainland United States, forcing miners to reduce operations due to grid pressure, snow accumulation, freezing, and extreme cold weather, highlighting the close relationship between mining activities and energy market conditions.
CryptoQuant Research Director Julio Moreno shared data indicating that in the weeks leading up to the storm, the daily average output of listed mining companies tracked by CryptoQuant was typically between 70 and 90 Bitcoins, but during the peak of the storm, this number dropped to about 30 to 40 Bitcoins per day.
