Vitalik: Hope the X algorithm open-source mechanism has verifiability and reproducibility

Foresight News reports that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin responded to Elon Musk’s post stating, “We will open source the new X algorithm within 7 days. This process will be repeated every 4 weeks and will include detailed developer documentation.” He said, “If done properly, this is a good move. I hope the mechanism is verifiable and reproducible. While it can’t solve all problems, it can effectively address the long-standing demands for algorithm transparency from myself and many others. I think a four-week interval might be too aggressive, meaning the algorithm would need frequent adjustments to prevent users from exploiting loopholes. Therefore, in my recent article advocating for algorithm transparency, I proposed a one-year cycle.”
