GateNews

According to the U.S. military and reported by the Associated Press on May 31, the U.S. military intercepted a Gambian-flagged cargo vessel called 'Lian Star' attempting to breach the American blockade of Iranian ports. The ship ignored multiple U.S. military warnings during nighttime operations and tried to enter Iranian ports. U.S. military aircraft subsequently disabled the vessel in the Gulf of Oman, where it remains adrift. The U.S. has not yet boarded the ship for inspection.

This latest interception brings the total to six vessels stopped while attempting to break the blockade, with one previously allowed to continue its voyage.
