On June 16, Thailand's Department of Special Investigation, Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau, Bank of Thailand, and forensic specialists raided 24 locations across Bangkok and neighboring provinces, targeting an alleged unauthorized forex trading network. Authorities seized assets worth hundreds of millions of baht, including approximately 65.27 million baht in cash (exceeding $2 million), five luxury vehicles, 15 passenger vehicles, motorcycles, gold bars, jewelry, luxury handbags, watches, silver bars, and other valuables. Among digital assets recovered were four cryptocurrency hardware wallets believed to contain Bitcoin and USDT; authorities did not disclose their value. The operation targeted brokers and payment processors allegedly operating forex schemes including QRS Global, HFM GOFX, and Etherwealth, which reportedly solicited investments from Thai residents without authorization using offshore corporate structures.
