Seoul Police Converts Bithumb Officials to Suspects on Bribery Charges on June 9

According to Seoul Police Department, officials at Bithumb were converted to suspects on charges of offering bribes to lawmaker Kim Byung-gi on June 9. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Public Crime Investigation Division conducted an additional search of Bithumb's head office in Gangnam, Seoul on June 8 as part of the investigation. Kim is suspected of requesting his younger son's employment placement at Bithumb and subsequently raising questions attacking competitor Dunamu, which operates Upbit.
