U.S. Pentagon Raises Israel's Counterintelligence Threat Level to Critical on June 6

According to NBC News, on June 6, the U.S. Pentagon elevated Israel's counterintelligence threat level to "critical"—the highest tier—amid mounting concerns about increased espionage activities targeting American officials. The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) issued an internal alert warning that Israel has been intensifying efforts to monitor top U.S. officials and obtain intelligence on the Trump administration's internal deliberations regarding Middle East conflicts, two current and one former U.S. official said.

Israel's embassy in Washington denied the allegations as "completely false," while a White House official stated that "this story is false and its sources don't know what they are talking about."
