According to Digital Assets' analysis on May 29, Samsung Electronics' market capitalization reached approximately $1.34 trillion, or 91.1% of Bitcoin's $1.47 trillion valuation. The data, compiled from CoinMetrics, CoinGecko, and the Korea Exchange, marks a sharp convergence between the two assets.
Compared to January 2025, Samsung's market cap surged 458% by May 2026, while Bitcoin declined 28% over the same period. The divergence reflects contrasting market momentum: South Korea's domestic equity market has expanded around semiconductor and AI-related stocks like Samsung, while the cryptocurrency market has remained under pressure since October 2025.
