Iran Announces Full Management of Hormuz Strait Shipping, Requires Permits on May 30

According to Iran's Mehr News Agency, the Iranian Armed Forces' Hatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters announced yesterday that Iran will implement full management of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. All commercial vessels, oil tankers, and other civilian ships must navigate designated routes and obtain prior authorization from the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy.
