International Criminal Court Rejects Duterte's Request for Temporary Release on May 22

GateNews
According to the International Criminal Court's Third Trial Chamber, the court on May 22 rejected Philippine former President Rodrigo Duterte's request for temporary release on health grounds. Duterte will remain in detention. The Chamber stated that medical examinations conducted by three ICC-appointed experts found insufficient grounds to warrant provisional release. The court also noted that confirmation of charges against Duterte on April 23 increases the risk of his flight.
