China Sets 60% Self-Use Ratio for Green Power Direct Connection Projects, Effective May 20

GateNews
According to Jin10 data, China's National Development and Reform Commission and National Energy Administration issued a notice on May 20 regarding the orderly development of multi-user green power direct connection projects. The notice requires that projects maintain a minimum self-generated and self-used electricity ratio of 60% of total available generation and 30% of total electricity consumption annually, with the ratio increasing to at least 35% by 2030. Projects must plan new renewable energy capacity according to the "load-driven source" principle and are exempt from power business licensing requirements.
