GateNews
According to the Shenzhou-23 crewed spacecraft mission briefing held on May 23, China's crewed spaceflight program completed its first emergency launch mission last year within 20 days. The mission successfully validated the "one primary, one backup" rolling backup strategy, achieving safe return of astronauts and successful docking of the backup spacecraft with the space station. Officials stated the mission provided "a successful example for the international spaceflight community to efficiently respond to emergencies." The program also strengthened its operational resilience and gathered valuable experience in managing space debris risks, with protective improvements already implemented on the Shenzhou-23 spacecraft's cabin window.
