According to China Index Academy, new home sales area in 100 major cities fell approximately 12% year-on-year in the first half of 2026. Sales volume stabilized in the second quarter, with April remaining flat compared to the prior year, while May and June saw declines of 5% and 4% respectively.
Meanwhile, secondhand home sales in key cities reached approximately 760,000 units, growing about 6% year-on-year for the same period.
