### Release v4.0.0
A new release of the terrad client has been created. The release notes for this version can be viewed here:
This release prepares the **Cosmos SDK 0.53 ("SDK 53")** upgrade for Terra Classic and includes the **v14_1** upgrade handler intended for mainnet.
Target dependency versions in this release candidate:
- Cosmos SDK v0.53.6
- CometBFT v0.38.21
- wasmd v0.61.8
- wasmvm v3.0.3
### Proposal
Validator's and community approved to update the terrad client to v4.0.0 (upgrade name v14_1). The chain will be halted at

This proposal is simply asking the community whether they want development work to begin on a USTC staking system.
This is Phase 1, focused only on designing and exploring the mechanics. There is no minting involved , and any future options if considered would be subject to further discussion and approval.

Is just a signal proposal for exploring the possibility of staking system for ustc ,increasing the valour of the chain ,but if ppl are so stressed with it ,i can cancel it. Be advised that the chain will fail if we do nothing.. very soon, you will understand what I mean 😞

It’s funny how everything turns into drama.
I don’t even have much stake on chain, yet somehow this becomes another excuse for people to campaign for delegations.
USTC staking on Layer 1 is simply what makes sense for the ecosystem. Whether you’re for it or against it, let’s at least keep the discussion about the proposal itself - not turn it into a delegator grab.
Let’s focus on building, not farming delegations. 👍

Ask yourself this: why are you only seeing posts on X about the USTC proposal instead of proper discussion on the forum, where it actually matters?
So far, every comment on the forum has been constructive and aligned with the proposal , which clearly shows the community is largely supportive.
All the drama on X? Feels more like a desperate call for attention than genuine concern.
If you have real feedback or concerns, bring them to the forum where they can be properly addressed , especially before the proposal goes live next week.
