The new chairman of the previous company was inspecting the office area (territory patrol). Office manager Li (female, average education, married, nearly 40, somewhat mature) was standing at the front, chatting with a young female developer she was familiar with.

They were joking around while standing, when suddenly the developer girl reached into the manager’s coat pocket (a small Chanel-style jacket) and pulled out a square foil object. Both of them froze. The developer girl shyly put it back, and the manager slightly turned to the side, revealing her discomfort.
I happened to see this scene. At the time, I didn’t think much of it, just felt the manager was too hasty; this person needed to stay away.
Later, the chairman and his team arrived, and the manager followed them back to headquarters. That night, I was drinking with a friend I know from the office, and he complained that things are really competitive now!
The small bed in the chairman’s office was made by office manager Li. At that moment, I suddenly felt as if a line had been opened in my mind… Later, Li’s career went exceptionally smoothly, including being assigned to a company previously managed by the chairman during the company integration, and she was promoted to vice president of the office.
Later, in private drinking gatherings, many people mentioned Li’s core competitiveness.
