Additionally, the December Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) will be published on February 5. Previously, due to a partial government shutdown, some data releases were delayed, but the shutdown ended later Tuesday evening, and funding for the Department of Labor and most other government agencies will be maintained until September 30. It is reported that, in addition to the regular monthly employment and unemployment rate data, the January employment report also includes the highly anticipated annual employment data revisions.
