PANews January 27 News, according to CCTV News, the European Commission issued a statement saying that the European Commission has today launched two compliance procedures to urge Google to fulfill its obligations under the Digital Markets Act. These compliance procedures formally require the Commission to engage in regulatory dialogue with Google regarding its compliance with two obligations under the Digital Markets Act. The first phase hearing involves Google’s obligations under Article 6, Paragraph 7 of the Direct Marketing Law, which requires providing third-party developers with free and effective interoperability of hardware and software functions controlled by Google Android operating system; the second phase lawsuit involves Google’s obligations under Article 6, Paragraph 11 of the Direct Marketing Law, which requires providing third-party online search engine providers with anonymous ranking, query, click, and browsing data held by Google under fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory terms. Next, the European Commission will complete its investigation within six months after launching the procedures. Within the following three months, the Commission will inform Google of the preliminary investigation results and list draft measures to be implemented against Google to ensure its effective compliance with the Direct Marketing Law.
