Senator Marshall from the US Senate will remove the clause regarding credit card fees in the crypto bill amendment.

PANews January 27 News, according to Cointelegraph citing Politico, U.S. Republican Senator Roger Marshall has agreed to temporarily hold back on pushing a proposed amendment regarding credit card fees during the Senate Agriculture Committee’s review of key cryptocurrency legislation next week. The amendment aims to force companies to compete over swipe fees, but the White House believes this move could jeopardize the progress of the entire crypto bill, leading to intervention and coordination. The Senate Agriculture Committee was originally scheduled to review the Market Structure Bill this Thursday, but it has been postponed to February 3 due to a winter storm sweeping across much of the United States. The bill aims to clarify the regulatory responsibilities of financial regulators over the crypto industry, but the review process has been delayed multiple times as bipartisan committees attempt to garner cross-party support.
