Trump: Increase South Korea's retaliatory tariffs from 15% to 25%

Odaily Planet Daily News: US President Trump stated on social media, “The Korean National Assembly has not fulfilled the agreement reached with the United States. I and South Korean President Lee Jae-myung reached a mutually beneficial agreement on July 30, 2025, and reaffirmed these terms during my visit to Korea on October 29, 2025. Why has the Korean National Assembly still not ratified this agreement? Since the Korean National Assembly has not passed our historic trade agreement, which is within their authority, I hereby announce that the reciprocal tariffs on Korean automobiles, timber, pharmaceuticals, and all other goods will be increased from 15% to 25%.”
