Odaily Planet Daily reports that the on-chain prediction market Polymarket has announced a multi-year exclusive licensing agreement with Major League Soccer (MLS), becoming the sole prediction market partner of MLS.
According to the agreement, the partnership will cover the MLS Cup, major conference tournaments, and the All-Star Game. The two sides will also launch new fan experiences, including “second screen interaction” during matches, to enhance viewer engagement.
Shayne Coplan, founder and CEO of Polymarket, stated that as soccer’s audience in the US continues to grow, fans are seeking new ways to participate more deeply in the games. Through this collaboration, Polymarket will present real-time collective market expectations at key match points and throughout the season narrative, providing fans with a more interactive and data-driven viewing experience.
This partnership also comes amid the rapid expansion of sports and media licensing by prediction market platforms Polymarket and Kalshi. Industry insiders believe that the prices and probability data generated by prediction markets are gradually becoming important sources of information for sports, media, and search platforms.
