Capital One plans to acquire fintech company Brex for $5.15 billion

PANews January 23 News, technology-based financial services company Capital One agrees to acquire fintech company Brex with 50% cash and 50% stock( each), in a deal valued at $5.15 billion, integrating it into commercial banking and payments business. The transaction is expected to be completed by mid-2026, with Franceschi continuing to oversee Brex’s integration into Capital One’s commercial banking and payments division. Brex previously announced plans to launch native stablecoin instant payment functionality.
