Google will provide $2 million to the Sundance Film Institute to support artist AI training

PANews January 21 News, according to Google’s official blog, Google’s philanthropic organization Google.org will provide $2 million to the Sundance Institute, in partnership with The Gotham and Film Independent to establish the “AI Literacy Alliance,” aimed at providing AI foundational skills training to over 100,000 artists and promoting the development of a community-led film and TV AI education ecosystem. The project includes online courses, scholarships, AI creator grant programs, and industry standard co-creation, emphasizing that AI should serve human creativity rather than replace it.
