Ella Zesi: December CPI data makes the possibility of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates in March a consideration

ChainCatcher News, according to Jinshi reports, market analyst Ella Zesi stated that the lack of substantial increase in U.S. inflation has led to a complacent optimism in the market and driven bond yields higher. The overall CPI year-over-year increase is 2.7%, implying that the core PCE annual rate will be below 2.5%, paving the way for the Federal Reserve to adopt a more dovish stance. Although a rate cut in January is still not considered a certainty, this undoubtedly makes the possibility of a rate cut in March officially considered.
