Mitsui & Co. plans to launch Japan's first digital securities backed by aircraft and ships as underlying assets

BlockBeats News, January 13 — According to Nikkei, Mitsui & Co. plans to launch Japan’s first digital security backed by aircraft and ships through its digital securities subsidiary Mitsui & Co. Digital Asset Management. The product is expected to go live as early as the 2026 fiscal year (starting April). The related product will be available to retail investors, supporting fractionalized asset investment, with a minimum subscription amount of approximately 100,000 yen. Investors will be able to share in the leasing income of aircraft or ships.
