SK Planet of South Korea purchased MOCA Coin to implement decentralized identifier

SK Planet, a subsidiary of SK Group – the second largest listed corporation in South Korea, announced that it will purchase MOCA Coin (MOCA) on the open market to participate in the decentralized identifier network Moca Network developed by Animoca Brands.

Through the application of AIR Account and AIR Identity infrastructure from Moca Network, SK Planet will bring zero-knowledge proof technology and decentralized identifier verification to 28 million users along with 95,000 commercial partners. This solution allows users to control their personal data while opening up the possibility of private data interaction among partners in the ecosystem.

Mr. Kyosu Kim, Business Director of SK Planet, stated that this collaboration not only enhances user data ownership but also allows SK Planet to reward OKI Club members with MOCA Coin. Meanwhile, Mr. Kenneth Shek, head of the Moca Network project, emphasized that this move marks an important step in bringing decentralized identifier to enterprise scale.

Earlier, in February 2025, SK Planet integrated AIR Wallet for OKI Club. Soon, the company will deploy AIR Identity, allowing users to verify their identity, receive rewards from multiple platforms, and manage tokens through the wallet, including swaps, staking, and other features.
