Gate Chain Mainnet v21 Upgrade Announcement

Gate Chain plans to perform the Gate Chain Mainnet v21 upgrade during February 11, 2026, from 06:00 to 10:00 (UTC) . The upgrade is expected to take approximately 3–4 hours to complete. During the upgrade, RPC services may be temporarily unavailable . To avoid potential service interruptions or asset loss, please suspend all on-chain transactions via RPC during this period.

All consensus-participating nodes must upgrade their node software accordingly to maintain network compatibility and ensure stable operation. This upgrade includes consensus and block version updates, an EVM upgrade to the Prague release, the introduction of EIP-7702 , and multiple enhancements to RPC interfaces and underlying infrastructure.

2.EVM Upgrade (Prague Release)

3.EIP Compatibility Updates

• EIP-7702

• Allows standard wallet addresses (EOAs) to temporarily act as smart contract wallets within a transaction, enabling account abstraction features such as batch transactions and gas sponsorship

• Provides the foundation for more flexible wallet interactions and application design

4.RPC Interface Improvements

• Transaction-related RPC interfaces now support additional return fields for setCodeTx transaction types
• Improves transaction parsing and developer experience

5.Geth Client Upgrade

• Geth upgraded to v1.16.1
• Enhances performance, stability, and protocol compatibility

6.BlobStore Storage Enhancements

• BlobStore now supports S3-based storage
• Enables persistent storage of Blob data in S3
• Improves scalability and reliability for large-scale data storage
