XRP Ledger v3.2.0 Launches as Node Upgrade Rate Lags at 43%, Security Amendment Stalls

XRP-3.93%

According to CoinDesk, XRP Ledger's new server software v3.2.0 has launched recently. Of approximately 833 active nodes, 43% have upgraded to the new version while 51% still run v3.1.3. However, 89% of the 35 validators in the default UNL have upgraded, exceeding the required 80% activation threshold.

The accompanying security amendment fixCleanup3_2_0, which addresses fixes for single-asset vaults, permission-based DEX, multi-purpose tokens, and lending protocols, remains in separate voting with support rates significantly lagging behind software adoption rates. Ripple has voted in support of the amendment. Validators that upgrade after the amendment's activation may face disconnection from the Ledger.
