According to the Wall Street Journal and U.S. Central Command, on May 26, the WSJ retracted its earlier report suggesting the U.S. Navy had resumed the 'Sentinel Stride' operation to escort a Greek-flagged tanker carrying 2 million barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Oman. A U.S. Central Command spokesperson clarified that the U.S. has not resumed the operation, stating previous reporting of the plan's restart was inaccurate.
