U.S. Crude Production Hits 2026 Peak; Strategic Oil Reserves Fall to 29-Month Low on May 22

According to Jin10, U.S. crude oil production reached its highest level since February 13, 2026, in the week ending May 22. Meanwhile, strategic petroleum reserves hit their lowest since April 12, 2024, and commercial crude stockpiles (excluding strategic reserves) fell to their lowest since February 27, 2026. Commercial crude imports also slid to their lowest since December 26, 2025.
