Typhoon Bawei Weakens to Strong Tropical Storm with 30 m/s Winds on July 12

According to the China Meteorological Administration, Typhoon Bawei weakened from typhoon level to strong tropical storm level on the morning of July 12. At 5 a.m., the storm's center was located in Yiwu, Jinhua, Zhejiang Province (29.3°N, 120.0°E), with maximum sustained winds of 11 level (30 meters per second) and a central pressure of 970 hPa. The typhoon is expected to move northwest at 20-25 km/h, gradually weakening. On July 13, it will shift northeast over eastern Anhui, then enter the northern Yellow Sea via Shandong Peninsula on July 14, gradually transforming into a temperate cyclone.
