SpaceX Eyes U.S. Mobile Network as SPCX Stock Falls 17%, Musk Criticizes 'Star' Branding Overuse

According to Elon Musk, SpaceX is considering launching a Starlink mobile service for U.S. consumers and could even build its own terrestrial U.S. mobile network. SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell reportedly told investors during a recent IPO roadshow that the company was exploring a Starlink retail product as part of broader wireless ambitions. Musk commented on X that SpaceX is cutting back on its use of the 'Star' prefix, saying 'It's getting a bit silly' and 'Too much Starshit.' The remarks follow Tesla influencer Sawyer Merritt listing the company's growing Star-branded lineup, including Starlink, Starship, Starshield, Starbase and Starpipe. Meanwhile, SPCX stock has fallen 17% in its second week of public trading.
