According to Critini Research, South Korea's memory semiconductor exports are expected to hit 380-420 billion USD in June 2026, surpassing May's record of 371.6 billion USD. Data from Korea Customs Service shows that exports for June 1-20 already exceeded 23 billion USD, representing over 60 percent of May's full-month total, signaling strong momentum heading into month-end.
All memory product categories are experiencing simultaneous price and export volume increases. HBM exports surged 51 percent month-over-month, while generic DRAM prices jumped to 2-3 times year-ago levels amid wafer capacity reallocation. NAND and SSD exports grew 25-28 percent as AI server buildouts accelerate. Analysts expect the uptrend to continue, with some brokerages raising profit forecasts for South Korean memory chipmakers given the structural expansion of the AI storage super-cycle.
