South Korea's FSC Confirms 200 Billion Won DIP for Homeplus on July 21

According to Yonhapinfomax, South Korea's Financial Services Commission confirmed on July 21 that 200 billion won (approximately $152 million) in emergency operating funds (DIP) secured for Homeplus will be used for operational normalization. During a parliamentary Financial Services Committee meeting, FSC Vice Chairman Kwon Dae-young stated the principle that the difficult-to-obtain funds must be used for stabilizing operations through stakeholder consensus, with the court determining specific usage. Regarding concerns that DIP priority repayment could affect creditor recovery timelines, Kwon noted that creditor ranking may be influenced by the rehabilitation plan's progress but emphasized this would not delay junior creditor recovery.
