Shanghai Container Freight Index Rises 9.03% to 1,863.74 on May 26 Amid Strong Carrier Price Support

GateNews
According to Jin10 Futures, citing a research note from ZhongJin Caifuture on May 26, the Shanghai Container Freight Index for Europe (SCFIS) hit 1,863.74 points on Monday, up 9.03% week-on-week and marking the fourth consecutive week of gains. Carriers' strong willingness to maintain prices, supported by sustained rate hikes, is driving futures prices significantly higher. Despite weak economic data from the eurozone, container shipping rates are gradually rising during the traditional peak shipping season.
