Senator Warner Urges Financial Firms to Stop Buying TMTG's Truth API on July 21

On Tuesday (July 21), U.S. Senator Mark Warner urged major financial institutions and trading firms to halt the use of TMTG's Truth API, a paid data service that provides early access to President Trump's posts on Truth Social. Warner warned the arrangement would create "very concerning information asymmetry" in government policy access and allow Trump to derive personal economic benefit from official communications. The Truth API, launched by Trump Media & Technology Group earlier this month, offers financial subscribers millisecond-speed feeds of the president's posts, a capability viewed as having significant trading value.
