According to sources, Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) announced Thursday the launch of Truth API, a paid data service charging Wall Street traders and investment institutions up to $100,000 per month for accelerated access to posts from Trump and nine other influential Truth Social accounts. The company offered a discounted rate of $60,000 monthly for three-year contracts.
Multiple Wall Street executives told Reuters the service will likely attract subscribers, as even millisecond advantages in trading can yield significant profits. Democratic lawmakers, including Senators Ron Wyden and Elizabeth Warren, criticized the arrangement as potentially allowing Trump to profit from his presidential position, with one executive likening it to a new "trading tax" on Wall Street firms.
