SBF Signals Plans to Launch New Cryptocurrency After Release, Seeking $50M–$100M in Capital

According to U Blockchain, on June 16, SBF, the former CEO of FTX currently serving a 25-year sentence, discussed plans with a fellow inmate to launch a new cryptocurrency project upon his release from prison. SBF indicated that a proper crypto venture would require $50 million to $100 million in initial capital, and that he plans to issue a new coin after his release. He added that once freed, he would grow the business using his own funds. However, the fellow inmate noted the remarks may have been made in jest.
