Saudi Arabia Condemns Houthi Naval Blockade; Yemen Group Announces Counter-Blockade on July 20

According to Yonhapinfomax citing Saudi Foreign Ministry statement, on July 20, Saudi Arabia condemned Yemen's Houthi militants for declaring a naval blockade against the kingdom, calling it "the strongest language of denunciation." Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree announced that the group would immediately implement a counter-blockade against what he termed "criminal Saudi enemy" based on the "an eye for an eye" principle, in response to Saudi Arabia's continued blockade of Yemen.
