Russian President Putin Acknowledges Fuel Shortages, Considers Diesel Export Ban

According to Guru Club, Russian President Putin acknowledged on Friday that fuel supply shortages persist, with long queues reported at gas stations across the country. Citing the impact of multiple refinery shutdowns, Putin stated that a comprehensive diesel export ban is among the options being considered to stabilize the domestic market. However, following discussions on Friday with oil producers and government officials, Russia's Energy Ministry recommended against implementing the ban, citing concerns over diesel inventory accumulation and other potential complications. The government plans to reassess the situation on Monday.
