Philippines Expands Google Cloud Partnership to 200,000 Public Servants Within 18 Months

According to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), on June 22, the Philippines expanded its multi-year collaboration with Google Cloud to enhance AI, cybersecurity, and connectivity for public services. Gemini Enterprise and Google Workspace are now available through the government's eMarketplace, with more than 50,000 public servants gaining immediate access and 200,000 targeted within 18 months.

For cybersecurity, the National Security Operations Center has deployed Google Cloud Cybershield to provide nationwide AI-driven cyber defense. Teams from 56 government agencies have been trained, with 90 agencies targeted by end-June 2026.
