According to Reuters on June 7, OpenAI plans to launch a redesigned ChatGPT within weeks, transforming the platform from a chat-focused interface into a "super app" integrating coding tools, image generation, AI agents, and third-party service integrations. The move reflects a strategic shift from answering questions to completing tasks, with enhanced coding via Codex as a key commercial driver. ChatGPT currently has approximately 900 million weekly active users and over 50 million paying subscribers, with enterprise customers accounting for roughly 40% of OpenAI's revenue, expected to reach 50% by year-end. Initial partnerships include design platform Canva and travel booking service Booking.com.
