According to MarketWatch, Micron (MU) is projected to rank second in U.S. corporate profitability in 2027, surpassing Microsoft and Apple, trailing only Nvidia and Google. This year, Micron is estimated to rank fifth in the S&P 500, driven by explosive memory chip demand from AI applications and supply constraints that have pushed DRAM average selling prices up more than 60% month-over-month in recent quarters.

Morningstar analyst William Kerwin noted that nearly all revenue growth stems from memory price increases. However, analysts warn growth will decelerate to 10% by 2028, as new long-term supply agreements with major cloud giants may limit future price increases despite sustained demand.
