Masayoshi Son Reclaims Asia's Richest Billionaire Status with $100.7B Wealth, SoftBank Surpasses Toyota by Market Cap

According to Jin10 and Forbes Real Time Billionaires, on June 2, SoftBank founder and CEO Masayoshi Son's net worth climbed to $100.7 billion, reclaiming the position of Asia's richest billionaire, surpassing Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, over a decade after last holding the title.

SoftBank's stock surged 14.71% yesterday, lifting the company's market capitalization to 4.8 trillion yen (approximately $306 billion), overtaking Toyota's roughly 4.6 trillion yen and ending Toyota's over two-decade reign as Japan's most valuable listed company. By Tokyo market close today, SoftBank's market cap further increased to 4.93 trillion yen, while Toyota stood at 4.492 trillion yen.
