According to Odaily Daily Planet, on Monday (June 2), SoftBank surpassed Toyota to become Japan's largest company by market capitalization, reaching 46 trillion yen ($288 billion) with an 8% daily gain. The Japanese technology conglomerate has rallied nearly 73% year-to-date, driven by demand for artificial intelligence and its significant exposure to OpenAI. SoftBank made the announcement following its commitment to invest up to 75 billion euros in France to build a large-scale AI compute cluster network. Toyota's market value fell below 46 trillion yen with a 4.5% decline on Monday.
