On Monday (May 31), Kalshi filed to self-certify perpetual futures for 12 altcoins including XRP, Solana, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Chainlink, and others, following the CFTC's approval of Bitcoin perpetual futures on Friday. The case-by-case approval process means Kalshi's altcoin slate has not been immediately approved.

According to CoinGlass data, Bitcoin leads crypto derivatives with $54.9 billion in open interest, followed by Ethereum ($31.5 billion), Solana ($5.5 billion), and XRP ($3 billion).
