According to Lloyd’s List, traffic volumes through the Hormuz Strait increased this week as more vessels disabled their Automatic Identification System (AIS) tracking signals amid persistent regional risks. Oil tanker owners are preparing for prolonged shipping disruptions. Current traffic remains significantly below pre-conflict levels, when approximately 130 vessels passed through daily, carrying about 20% of global oil and gas supplies.
