Hang Seng Index Falls 145 Points, Breaks Below 23,000 on Final Day of June; Down 10.73% for H1 2026

The Hang Seng Index fell 145 points, or 0.63%, yesterday (June 29), closing at 22,881 points and losing the 23,000 level on the final trading day of June. For the first half of 2026, the HSI has declined 2,749 points, or 10.73%. The National Index (HSI subsidiary index) dropped 47 points, or 0.62%, to 7,558 points, with a first-half decline of 1,355 points, or 15.21%. The Tech Index rose 79 points, or 1.8%, to 4,472 points, but remains down 1,043 points, or 18.92%, for the half-year period.
