DOJ Makes $400M in Seized AirBit Club Assets Available to Compensate Ponzi Scheme Victims

According to the US Justice Department, $400 million in forfeited assets from the AirBit Club Ponzi scheme are now available to compensate victims. The scheme’s five operators—co-founders Pablo Renato Rodriguez and Gutemberg Dos Santos, promoters Cecilia Millan and Karina Chairez, and attorney Scott Hughes—were convicted and sentenced in 2023. Victims who previously provided information to the FBI or U.S. Attorney’s Office will be contacted by remission administrator RCB Fund Services, LLC to file compensation petitions.
