Crypto Spot Trading Volume Falls to $679B in April, Lowest Since October 2023

According to CryptoQuant, crypto spot trading volume fell to $679 billion in April 2026, marking the lowest monthly reading since October 2023 as persistent bear market pressure suppresses exchange activity. BTC volatility intensified on June 5, briefly dropping toward $61,300 and triggering over $600 million in long liquidations before recovering to $62,577. Over a 24-hour period, more than $737 million in BTC positions were liquidated, with long positions accounting for the majority of losses.
